The train runs from Inverness through fantastic scenery to the Kyle of Lochalsh, where the Skye Bridge Joins Skye to the mainland. The picturesque village of Plockton, with it's palm trees, is on the shores of Loch Carron. There are tantalisingly well preserved brochs at Glenelg.The iconic Eilean Donan Castle is situated on an island at the point where three great sea lochs meet, only a very short walk from the former fishing village of Dornie.
